I've only just joined somewhere in December 2006 and I don't understand many things for instance how to become a Moderator or Administrator on Hypography. So please explain to me how this works and when you can change your user level like admins and mods can because I was told by an admin (Chacmool) that after a certain number of posts you can!

One idea is to demonstrate familiarity with the site, search for threads dealing with the subject of interest rather than starting new threads on the same topic.

Usually you have to impress the current team with your Mod like temperament and be a member for a considerable time to be a Mod. Admins are usually born, not made.

You user level status will change automatically at the post counts indicated in the User Levels Tutorial.

We use an internal process to select members for invitation to become a junior mod when we need mods.

I'm actually a mod, not an admin. As C1ay points out, your user level will change as your post number increases.

So, are you saying we should just go ahead and ban you now? While you may have no desire to be a mod in the future you will need to at least do better than a 0 in some of the above to remain a member.
