Radical American philanthropist Zell Kravinsky talks to Steve Evans on The Interview
Zell Kravinsky says organ donation is the 'poor man's philanthropy'
Philanthropist and organ donor, Zell Kravinsky
Zell Kravinsky has taken philanthropy to a new level. Not content with giving away millions of dollars to medical research and other charities, four years ago he also donated his kidney to a woman he didn't know.
Zell talks openly to Steve Evans about why he chose to do this 'non-directed organ donation' as it's called, and why he saw it as an 'enjoyable reward' after giving away a fortune he'd made in property development. He also talks about other people's reactions to his brand of philanthropy, and how his controversial views about our moral obligations to others have made him many enemies.
That's Zell Kravinsky, on The Interview this week.
