Pets?

As I have cruised through many of the threads here there has been a number of references to pet ownership and care of a broad range of critters.

So, what do you guys have?

I currently have a planted aquarium with dwarf cichlids and killiefish;a dog; a ball python; and a 50/50 cal. kingsnake. In the past I have cared for an incredibly diverse group of fresh and marine critters (octopi to discus).
I also care for over 300 diverse animals (mainly cats and dogs) as the supervisor of an animal shelter.

Re: Pets?

Currently, I'm the proud owner of two dogs and two children (ape-like creatures).

I have an 8 year old Norwegian Elkhound (Norsk Elghund as Tormod would say), and a 3 year old Cava-Tzu (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Shih Tzu mix).

They are wonderful pets (the kids are great too).

Norwegian Elkhounds are very robust, intelligent, and emotional dogs that love thier family, are good guard dogs, and are easy to train (if you're a good pack leader). If you can tolerate shedding, I highly recommend them.....particularly if you live in a cold climate.

Re: Pets?

I have a Cockatiel named buddy.

He's adorable, but he can be really annoying at times.
I just wish he was smart enough to talk.
