No doubt and you could have new upstart religions challenge you at random, like the book of Urinatia or Scientology, or the Mormons. Oh oh oh, the Jehovah's witnesses could drop in to annoy and distract you at random too!

That great. Don't know how I could have forgotten the Jehovah's witnesses. Of all of them, they definitely deserve some sort of exalted position in the game...

Of course Judaism and Islam would have to be in the game as well, maybe as interested third parties that help or hinder as the game progresses.

I think you should actually be able to start as one of them, perhaps as a Zealot, or something. And, maybe (at max diffuculty) start as Jesus himself!

Re: Religion vs. Religion

How are you going to work altar boys into it?

If you're a Level 4 Catholic Priest with an ammo belt stuffed to the brim with communion wafers, a vial of Holy Water and an upgraded armoured Bible with levitation powers, will an altar boy crossing your path weaken you? Also, Protestants can shoot condoms at you, for which you'll have no defence. But you can retaliate by flicking sharpened communion wafers at them, ninja-style. You've already got the whole black outfit thing going, in any case.

Re: Religion vs. Religion

I think a real money maker is being thought up here, either that or a bulls eye for a religious zealot to assassinate all of us and a one way ticket to hell. Not sure which but it's fun so far

Re: Religion vs. Religion

I just had another idea...imagine how awesome it would be playing this game in "God Mode"! Unlike in other games, in God Mode in this one, you REALLY ARE GOD!!!

Re: Religion vs. Religion

This sounds like a wicked fun game!
Maybe it could structured like a board game? With squares where if you land there, you can pick up Miracle Cards for later use, or Instant Karma Cards: "If the Player to your left has a Living Prophet, you burn the Living Prophet at the stake. That Player gives you 100 Karma points."

I like it! You could also have Heresy Cards, you could play when the situation was right, and you might want to hold on to your "Get of of Hell free" card, just in case you draw the "Go straight to Hell" card.

AHA!! You blithering heretic! I trump your "Go straight to Hell" card with the "Grand Schizm" card! Your religion splits into two opposing and hostile factions! BWAHAHAHAHAHA...!!!
