| bike | When I made my way 10,000 feet above sea level into the snowy mountains of a July in Wyoming I pitched my tent in the dark to evade the chilly wind. Once inside my portable structure I closed my eyes and looked up and was amazed at what I saw. Instead of the usual neuroelectrical feedback or tunnel of soaring light I usually see behind unmedicated eyes, I saw the stars. The stars permeated the rain fly, and my eyes, and I could see the entire galaxy. Moving my head, the stars moved too. I could not see the stars through the Earth. So if I looked down, or tried to look through the mountain, I could not see through, but all the open sky...and all the trees that surrounded I could see through into outer space. Ecstatic, I yelled to my circus mates who were within proximity and they all confirmed the same thing. I conducted the experiment in a few different locations during my stay in the Wyoming mountains, asking others if they could see the stars too. Many could, some could not. I just wanted to share this with you all. It was one of the most mysteriously beautiful things I've witnessed. Wondering if anyone else on this forum has seen this, too . . ---------------- "Rome falls nine times an hour" ![]() ![]() | |
