Smile Musical Mush

Okay musicians (and non-musicians too I guess): Ever since I made that post a few minutes ago mentioning Auric Goldfinger I've been trying to conjure the movie's theme music in my brain. What my brain is doing though is putting the words to "Goldfinger" to the tune of "Moonriver"....ooohhh its painful! Make it go away!

That ever happen to any of you?

Cheers,
Buffy

Re: Musical Mush

Those of you with kids have had the dreaded Vegitales or Barney song stuck in your head would beg for anything else....Even Christmas Carols...(Although I do use them to keep my students in line...I play Christmas Carols when they start to irritate me too much...Either that or Sonic youth, that kinda scares them. hehehehehehehe)

I'm gonna have to go on a site search and find where I quoted my favorite Veggie Tales song, and had Tormod really scared! It was quite funny, actually. He made some comment about letting my kids watch something besides PBS, I think.

But yeah, I've had that happen. Usually it's old songs that have some meaning to my life as a teenager, and it normally takes quite a bit to get the song out of my mind. A good cure for that is my 3 year old singing to me. THAT takes care of just about any stubborn mental refrain, but sometimes creates side effects (like a splitting headache, or a side ache from laughing!).
