Arrow Who has eczema?

How many of you are suffering from eczema (Eczema (N)-An acute or chronic noncontagious inflammation of the skin, characterized chiefly by redness, itching, and the outbreak of lesions that may discharge serous matter and become encrusted and scaly.) If so post your gripes/complaints about it and what you think medical scientists/technicians should do to combat this life long torture and how you've handled it so far.

Re: Who has eczema?

I decided to post this topic here on this site because it has been shown that it is generally people of a higher IQ that have this condition... as well as a strong will .

Re: Who has eczema?

Where'd they show that? I'd think it'd show up more often in those living in dry climates, with poor personlal hygene.

Re: Who has eczema?

I had a friend in high school who had psoraisis, which is related--and by the way these are diseases and have nothing to do with "hygene." He raced dirt bikes, played guitar and had an off-the-scale IQ. Not sure that this has anything to do with anything: it sure seems easy and common these days to publish a paper--or worse put out a press release--based on statistically insignificant results.

Cheers,
Buffy

Re: Who has eczema?

Not saying it will work, but my brother in law had real bad knees he also suffers with ecsema.
He took glucosamine for the pain in his knees which it cured and as a by product his ecsema went too. Of course it may have diminished due to other reasons but he cant think of any other reasons.

Re: Who has eczema?

As for what people usually have eczema I got the descriptions of IQ and personality deirectly from my dermatologist, Dr. Aries. So that's just hearsay, but it seems to hold true in most cases.

Sounds like me, then. Except the dirt bikes.

I don't have eczema per se but I have what they call seborrhea which is a skin inflammation which has no known cause. It makes areas of my face go really red and itchy, so I have to use anti-fungal cremes and stuff to get rid of it. It's possible to contain it but not cure it as of yet.

I didn't know dermatologists handed out IQ tests!
