How Hypography looked back in the day...

This is a snapshot of our forums around the beginning of June 2002. A lot has happened since then.

I really liked that layout

the 2005 one wasn't too bad either.

Re: How Hypography looked back in the day...

I like that look too. Good lines. Good graphics. Clean and simple. Can we go back to that kind of front page, with the complexities somewhere inside?

Sorry. I know people have put a lot of work into the current look, and I see it improving all the time. It's just that I'm a sucker for spare, lean design.

Re: How Hypography looked back in the day...

I actually love the old design myself. I am thinking of ways to go back to something similar. It shows much more content, however - content which has not been maintained in years!

I severely doubt I'd have the knowledge or skills to help clean up that content, but if you have the equivalent of dirty rags, I'd be happy to take care of them. I know I'm not going to be useful here because I can do science, so I'd like to be the eager kid--the eager kid who's much older than the rest of you--who's willing to do anything to help.

When I was an appropriate age to be the eager kid, people were telling me how brilliant I was. They were wrong, I didn't learn anything, and what brilliance I had faded very very quickly, so I'd like a second chance.

Thanks.

Haha. Funny how far we've come...

The old look is pretty clean, but the color-scheme is atrocious.

Was that the red or maroon theme? That's the first one I remember.
