Re: Riddles

hiya Honey,
I did not realize that your response was your answer-apologies
as far as the spear goes, I was stating to throw Like a spear for your visual. It was indeed a branch or limb not a spear. As far as I know, the angle at which it was thrusted, allowed the ax head to surface. But of course, I was not there, and this is merely speculation

This wasn't the clue that I was going to give you but, since you ask it like that, I'll tell you that there are only the four numbers in this sequence.

These numbers appear to be degree numbers as in 45 degrees so I am
guessing that the next number is 90, am I right ??

Re: Riddles

Ok - By special request (and remember that this is the Riddle forum and not the Mathematical Conundrums one) the additional clue is:

I lied slightly with the first two numbers...

16.6666, 33 1/3, 45, ??

And, no, William - sorry but 90 is not the next number.

These are record player speeds and the next number would be 78 right ??

Re: Riddles

Correctomundo!

Record player speeds for old-school pre-CD days.

We actually had some original 16 rpm discs - they were only good for the spoken word and our ones had short fairy tales on them. Of course 33's were the old LP (or long player) records or albums. 45's were for singles and 78's were the very old original gramophone records.

The 16s sounded really funny at 78 rpm.

More recent record players only had the 33 and 45 speeds so this may have thrown some of the younger ones.

So, Well Done. I don't know what your prize is though.
