Terms?
are polite ones.
Others begin with "fool" and become progressively much worse depending on how much the hate emotion serves as the primary motivator for such a person.
I choose not to label terrorists as anything but that which their acts produce, death and anarchy.
I like a little chaos in the system, but I dislike hate motivated murder in the name of some "new order" no matter who promulgates the "cause".
So my preferred terms are murderer and nihilist. You apply modifiers to the extent that the individual does damage to life and to peace.
So while Al Zaqawi might be a petty nihilist and a serial murderer of significant proportions, he would not be a genocidal murderer of the proportions of Pol Pot, who was a piker compared to true mass murderers and nihilists like Stalin, Mao, or Adolf.
Here is a true riddle.
How do good men combat evil without becoming evil themselves?
Best wishes;
