Your country...

So, what's the one single physical thing that defines your country?

Forget about people and politics, I'm talkin' about physical stuff here.

For me, there's a lot of stuff that says 'home' about my country, but I reckon Table Mountain kinda trumps them all.

What's yours?

Yeah - some stupid tourist flicked a cigarette into the undergrowth. Luckily other tourists spotted him and took his number as he drove off.

He got caught, but the mountain still burnt down.

There's lotsa things. But my aim with this thread is to put forward the one single thing that clearly says "Your Country", whatever your country may be.

For instance, if I was an American, I could say "The Statue of Liberty", as the one defining symbol. A Frenchman might say "The Eiffel Tower" or something.

As far as I'm concerned, Table Mountain kinda does it for me, if I start describing the rest, I'd never get to the end, and I'll miss the point of the thread completely!

Re: Your country...

The USA has plenty to choose from. I took a trip in 1993 where I saw Las Vegas up close and personal, and the following day Yosemite National Park. They are both unique in the world and amazing to experience.
