| Holy cow! | Re: Quirky Science Facts! A chicken can be hypnotized, or put into a trance by holding its head down against the ground, and continuously drawing a line along the ground with a stick or a finger, starting at its beak and extending straight outward in front of the chicken. If the chicken is hypnotized in this manner, it will remain immobile for somewhere between 15 seconds to 30 minutes, continuing to stare at the line! Anybody got chickens at home? ---------------- Hypography Forums Moderator IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII Bovinely blessed be thee. | |

| Holy cow! | Re: Quirky Science Facts! You got chickens at home, Ron? You gotta try it and tell us if it works! I've never tried it myself, actually, not having access to farm animals of the feathered kind... ---------------- Hypography Forums Moderator IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII Bovinely blessed be thee. | |

The chicken goes completely limp/catatonic for minutes. Everyone used to have chooks but now noise-pollution laws don't allow for roosters. Chooks are great for getting rid of spiders. Like heat-seeking missiles; they seek 'um out and eat 'um. Most ground spiders in Australia are deadly too (There, a science fact to make up for the discussion) Last edited by Michaelangelica; 08-14-2006 at 01:49 AM. | ||
