Trivia Extra: Henry Ford is also responsible for the charcoal briquet as we know it today; it was a means to get rid of all the wood scraps from making Model T frames as well as provide fuel for picknickers going out to picinic in their Model T's.

hmmmm... interesting.... I will never look at grilling steaks the same way again! Now all I'll be able to think of is national defense, and your scary avatar!

Maybe not for that many people, but it shows the kind of thinking we should be doing. If we came up with a number of these alternatives, I do think it would indeed be sustainable. As for the atmosphere, it burns cleaner than petrol, no sulfur.

Yes they have shown it can be done and using local wastes too. Although you may need a cow farm nearby.
Any close to NY? If so, Now would be the time to buy shares in it

Re: Fuel prices...

you would need one hell-of-a cow farm to fuel NY, while it is a great solution for this small town, the scale needed to fuel such a large city would be impracticle - I just like the concept of the idea and the brave few that have taken a step towards a sustainable future.
