I had a question for you, Buffy, but looking at your avatar made me forget it. It will come back eventually.

No, you won't Tormod.
Buffy chose that avatar for exactly this purpose! Look around. Do you see ANY of us males asking very many serious questions of Buffy? Watch this:
Buffy, do you, ah... that is... do you ever... hmmm... I mean...
You see, Tormod? It works nearly every time.

I've been curious for a while Buffy, why do you put the 'H' in italics in your sig?

She wants it to look more like the logo...
Buffy,
You often surround *words* thusly. What is your methodology for the use of * word,* and how is that different from " word"?
Cheers to you and yours.

*word* is the same as word (ie, bold), except it's the IM way of saying it.
Although *Buffy* might have a completely different reason for her use of the humble asterisks.

Re: "Oh *that's* obscure, B!"
I thought the asterisks were for emphasis. I know some people use italics for this purpose. I prefer italics for sarcasm, you know, a little extra something to push the intent across. I find that it still goes over people's heads, though.

Re: "Oh *that's* obscure, B!"
I usually only use asterisks when I'm denoting an action that I'm performing, Buffy seems to use them similar to italics.

Mmmmmm... so many *emphatics*, so little time. Lets not forget the humble underline, which back in the day of typewriters was an accepted norm, because you could push the carriage back and add underlining without requiring additional keys. The asterisks found use primarily for footnoting.
