Questioning

Let's drink a beer

Does anyone ever feel like this? (I do)

Do you ever get sick of the fact that we all don't truly know every answer to every question, and wish that we could all just sit around and cheers a drink, or smoke, or.... and just agree that we all seek the same sense of knowledge over that which we wish to comprehend? Then you propose a toast of sorts and have a party?

Multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, different philosophies, different religions, different cosmological theories... just chillin around the same table. Maybe this forum is the metaphoric table, but I'd rather party with intellectuals.

Sorry I guess I'm dreamin over here.

Re: Let's drink a beer

A question is it's own answer, and life is what you make of it. Tired of the table at which you are sitting and the friends whose company you share? Get up and change it... After all, change is the only constant. The least you can do is direct it.

Life would be boring if we every knew the answer to every question. While I sometimes get frustrated chasing my tail on certain questions, it gives me something to do while I travel around the sun.

Cheers.

Re: Let's drink a beer

I'll drink to that.

I'll admit it... my table is occupied by non-thinkers. I guess this post was a subtle psychological cry for help. After all.... why would I be wasting my nights seeking enlightnemnet in the dark with faceless screennames and adversity at every corner? (thats good sarcasm!)

I agree.. while I tarvel around the sun I am occupied with why?, how? and why the hell do i care?

I entered this forum with my head down, I am on foreign turf as a religion scholar, but whether youre in a religion forum or a physics forum don't we all stress ourselves out trying to be right? I wish everyone could take your advise (myself included) ..."life would be boring if we figured it out".... so why fight about it? Let's just build, and take friendly bets on whose right.

If I may also suggest, don't dismiss the others so quickly. You can only know them through your own perceptual filters... And that may not be the real them. Chances are good they struggle with similar things, but since all of the focus is placed on difference, the similarities get overlooked.

We have more in common with a rock than we have different from another human being. Proste.

Re: Let's drink a beer

"We have more in common with a rock than we have different from another human being."

This is will be unacceptable to most Christians but it is true. The atomic structures that compose our very cells have more in common with the distribution of elements throughout our part of our galaxy than the differences we create through interpersonal relationships. In fact not only do we have more in common with rocks........

I gotta add this off topic.... creation vs. evolution (oh that debate makes me wanna puke on both parties!!!) we have 99% similar DNA with simple primates, and we have 96% similar DNA with every other animal (chickens atleast)... we didn't evolve from monkeys.... we evolved from star dust.... matter of fact we evolved from pre stellular hydrogen.

Again I apologize for getting off topic but we didn't evolve from even star dust we evolved from potential energy which formed elemantary particels which then formed hydrogen. All emerged from creation....ooops

(what I should have said was wow im enjoying not knowing anything in my own little world...hahaha... good sarcasm)

Whats funny is.... have you ever done a google search for "science forum" or "religion forum" there's like two or four. Now imagine those forums cater to hundreds maybe a couple thousand seekers and thinkers. Now picture the other part of the 300 million Americans who are totally blissful in their worldview that they seek nothing.

What is also funny is that each poster tries to shine in their own right and we compete to certain degree but the truth is... we are all elite just because we seek truth.... so many people are not involved. If they were involved this forum would have 300 million members. Not to mention artists... thats a differnet forum.... whats up with scientific art section anyways?.

Wow now I feel cool (still good sarcasm)
