Re: poems of any size

here's a pretty long poem i composed myself
please tell me if you like it

We march forward whatever may be

We march forward whatever may be
Grasping the sword’s hilt ready to slay thee
We are neither petrified by a large division nor a tiny bee
We march forward what ever may be

We cross all terrains braving all sand storms and the fury of rains
Ever ready for a hand to hand combat or firing at a point blank range
For our victory is our country’s gain
To our destination we parade
Ever ready for a full frontal assault or a divisionary raid
We march forward whatever may be

Shoulder to shoulder foot to foot we march
Waiting till we obliterate our enemies beyond the hill’s arch
We fight in broad daylight and in the dark
We march forward whatever may be
Our dauntless ranks will never flee

With our day’s duty fulfilled
Thinking of the innumerable men we killed
We march forward what ever may be
We only bend down before the almighty

We fight at our lord’s will
We fight for our right to live
We fight for our glorious motherland
We fight for the honour of our clan

We march forward whatever may be
Always protecting the pride of our country

Step by step we advance into the battle field
Step by step we unsheathe our swords and dress our shields
Step by step we break the enemy’s ranks
Step by step from all directions we flank

We walk into an ambush with a straight face
We slay the enemy there not in much of a haste
We don’t retreat but advance in an another direction
Only wondering whether our deeds will make history or a measly book of fiction
We march forward whatever may be
And ensure the fruit of our labour a sweet one to be

Death of a man is a tragedy,
Death of a million is just a statistic
it does not matter when we lay down our lives for our country
for our flesh , our blood, and our soul is patriotic
We march forward whatever may be
Not afraid of death are we

We are born for our country
we live for our country
We fight for our country
we die for our country

We march forward whatever may be
We go proudly into the hands of the almighty
We advance to make history

that's it

No forgive me; I entirely forgot the thread is in the lounge. My bad.

Upon my word,
I made a blunder,
this poem then goes,
to stump me under.

It's actually pretty helpful if you look at what are called "Stickies" which remain at the top of a forum's threads. In the Lounge, the two stickies shown help with the issue you describe above:

Quiet Lounge Rules / How to join

Lounge member wannabees

Memberships not guarenteed

Every Morning I look to The Sky
Wonderful is the moon kissing good-bye,
The majestic sun wraps us ove
From a mystic net, i hover

Every morning I wake from Dreams
into an hidden reality
Where everything is not what it seems.
Is this just another Virtuality?

Every Morning I rub my eyes
Revealing My self to a world that cries
A World pierced by greed
Everyone wanting to be freed

Every Morning I Stretch Out
Accepting the world today
Entering Destiny's bout
Should i Survive At bay?

Every morning i look to the sky
My day begins by
Seeing the moon set
or the sun rise...

Re: poems of any size

RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER
-S.T.COLERIDGE
PART I

An ancient Mariner meeteth three Gallants bidden to a wedding-feast, and detaineth one.
It is an ancient Mariner,
And he stoppeth one of three.
`By thy long beard and glittering eye,
Now wherefore stopp'st thou me ?
The Bridegroom's doors are opened wide,
And I am next of kin ;
The guests are met, the feast is set :
May'st hear the merry din.'

He holds him with his skinny hand,
`There was a ship,' quoth he.
`Hold off ! unhand me, grey-beard loon !'
Eftsoons his hand dropt he.

The Wedding-Guest is spell-bound by the eye of the old seafaring man, and constrained to hear his tale.

He holds him with his glittering eye--
The Wedding-Guest stood still,
And listens like a three years' child :
The Mariner hath his will.
The Wedding-Guest sat on a stone :
He cannot choose but hear ;
And thus spake on that ancient man,
The bright-eyed Mariner.
`The ship was cheered, the harbour cleared,
Merrily did we drop
Below the kirk, below the hill,
Below the lighthouse top.

The Mariner tells how the ship sailed southward with a good wind and fair weather, till it reached the Line.

The Sun came up upon the left,
Out of the sea came he !
And he shone bright, and on the right
Went down into the sea.
Higher and higher every day,
Till over the mast at noon--'
The Wedding-Guest here beat his breast,
For he heard the loud bassoon.

The Wedding-Guest heareth the bridal music ; but the Mariner continueth his tale.
The bride hath paced into the hall,
Red as a rose is she ;
Nodding their heads before her goes
The merry minstrelsy.
The Wedding-Guest he beat his breast,
Yet he cannot choose but hear ;
And thus spake on that ancient man,
The bright-eyed Mariner.

The ship driven by a storm toward the south pole.

`And now the STORM-BLAST came, and he
Was tyrannous and strong :
He struck with his o'ertaking wings,
And chased us south along.
With sloping masts and dipping prow,
As who pursued with yell and blow
Still treads the shadow of his foe,
And forward bends his head,
The ship drove fast, loud roared the blast,
The southward aye we fled.
And now there came both mist and snow,
And it grew wondrous cold :
And ice, mast-high, came floating by,
As green as emerald.

The land of ice, and of fearful sounds where no living thing was to be seen.

And through the drifts the snowy clifts
Did send a dismal sheen :
Nor shapes of men nor beasts we ken--
The ice was all between.
The ice was here, the ice was there,
The ice was all around :
It cracked and growled, and roared and howled,
Like noises in a swound !

Till a great sea-bird, called the Albatross, came through the snow-fog, and was received with great joy and hospitality.

At length did cross an Albatross,
Thorough the fog it came ;
As if it had been a Christian soul,
We hailed it in God's name.
It ate the food it ne'er had eat,
And round and round it flew.
The ice did split with a thunder-fit ;
The helmsman steered us through !

And lo ! the Albatross proveth a bird of good omen, and followeth the ship as it returned northward through fog and floating ice.

And a good south wind sprung up behind ;
The Albatross did follow,
And every day, for food or play,
Came to the mariner's hollo !
In mist or cloud, on mast or shroud,
It perched for vespers nine ;
Whiles all the night, through fog-smoke white,
Glimmered the white Moon-shine.'

The ancient Mariner inhospitably killeth the pious bird of good omen.

`God save thee, ancient Mariner !
From the fiends, that plague thee thus !--
Why look'st thou so ?'--With my cross-bow
I shot the ALBATROSS.
