Science Show - 26*May*2007* - Improving the plight of caged animals

Carla Litchfield placed people in cages in the Adelaide Zoo. It was an old orang utang enclosure. This was done to see what it's like to be in an enclosure, hopefully so the lives of captive apes can be improved. Another aim was to promote awareness of the plight of great apes in the wild. If you put people in an enclosure, they behave like other caged animals. There were tensions, and the people missed their junk food!
