Would someone, anyone, PLEASE, OH PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me how to put a wooden arrow through a metal washer, or coin with a hole in it? I'm beggin'. I have been trying to figure this out for 2 years. Thanks.
can you be more specific? by hand or by shooting the arrow from a bow? either way, use a pointed tip and NOT a broad head tip.
this reminds me of a guy I saw on t.v. a few times... he is a trick shooter. I saw him shoot an alarm clock that was tossed into the air while blind-folded... twice in a row before it hit the ground!!!! he also was able to shoot aspirin pills that were tossed into the air!!! and shoot several arrows at the same time hitting some sort of fruit; and even do the robin hood thing and shoot a bulls-eye in a target then shoot another arrow, splitting the first!!!!
It is a puzzle. Called an impossible object. A carved wooden arrow that has a washer or coin (with a hole drilled in it) on the shaft. I've seen one about 2 years ago. I've tried soaking the wood, steaming it etc., but to no avail. Any help????
I'm sorry, but I don't have a picture of one. However, one can be seen at woodenuknow.com. The picture there is an arrow through a coin, but there are arrows through washers, glass bottles, golf balls, etc. I think they would all be done the same way. BUT HOW????
___Many such structures are carved "in situ", ie. in place. Balls in cages, & rings on shafts are other examples. One starts with a block & by undecr-cutting, an infinite variety of shapes may be 'set-free'. I once carved a chain from a 4x4 post using this approach.
