iNaturalist

iNaturalist.org - A Community for Naturalists

Saw this posted over at A Blog Around The Clock.

It is basically like the Hypography Frappr, but instead of marking people, it is intended to be used to mark interesting sightings of organisms. The entries can also be linked to photos(via Flickr) and include short descriptions/IDs(which can be edited/discussed by the userbase).

IT looks like there are about 500 entries so far. I think it's a really neat idea, figured maybe some of you would enjoy(and possibly even help out with your own entries!).

Hypography?

Hypography [n.]: A combination of "hyperlink" and "bibliography" - ie, a list of links to electronic documents. Comparable to discography and bibliography, but not cartography.
