I saw no evidence of anything and certainly not some simple evidence as you put it. Perhaps you can provide a more substantive explanantion nak.

Some may believe in life after death, some might not believe in such hocus things. I submit a site that does not give absolute evidence to such a claim, you might have even heard of it.
AA-EVP or The American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena. The individuals who are part of this organization could be what you call ghost hunters. EVP is a method of recording white noise (common background noise), in order for the dead to interupt the sound waves before it reaches the microphone, causing unearthly words to appear. There is also another method that they use called ITC or Instrumental TransCommunication, which uses electronic equipment (TV's, monitor's, camera's) to actually capture the image of the dead.

I have and still try EVP experiments on occasion as a hobby. So far I have yet to receive any messages from the 'otherside', or maybe the reason is because I use my computer's microphone (they suggest you buy an personal recorder), or that no ghost seems to want to come within a 1000 feet of me. :P

i thought perhaps you were discussing something more substantial like apparitions, like remost viewing hosts who've lost their connection to the 'soul'. in death it is said this 'soul' roams around much like the remote viewer roams around. there is said to be evidence of this viewer but neither the living remote viewer or the dead has been proven to transcend the mind or body. the charge that animates the living flesh is not supernatural. once your cells die you die. if you find a way to transfer your consciousness to another less biological host fine i'll consider that alternative. but come one, seriously? you people are willing to believe that your 'soul' or even consciousness will continue on after your death? be serious. what is science proves this? its barely hearsay, very little tangible proof, and far too many hoaxes have been brought into the light, this stuff is religious supernatural bunk run amuck.

EVP IMO is a a lot of junk. You can recourd ambient noise and under the right degree of manipulation make it sound vaguely like voices...WE hear what we want to and provide meaning to it. Just as the whole subliminal/backwards messages in those "satanic" rock albums (Paul is dead, Paul is dead). We have a finite number of phonetic sounds and randomly constucted will still provide discernable "accidental" words. Look at King's The Shining, red rum....murder.

You could probably put the same recording with 10 different people whose native tongues are different and they would all find fragments of words and statements in 10 different languages all from the same source tape. It is much like a Rorschach test. We project our personal views upon the medium and interpret it as the medium conatining meaning.

No doubt that they would be out on their butts, and their equipment turned into spy stations, or other scientists could use them I suppose.

There are more then just the one group who works in this field. Go to the site and click on links, then links to other groups.

I cannot deny the fact that these may be artificialy created, that ghost hunting or anything like it is just dillusional people trying to claim that they see, or hear, or felt the dead. Still, it's fun to try and prove them right or wrong, even if it is fake or not.
