Endless power
The world may be turning at ever-faster speeds, and we consume more power than ever. No wonder, then, that some people are seeking to harness endless power from ever-stranger applications and devices.

In 1989, two scientists claimed to have found a way to create cold fusion. This technique promises to create energy by simply fusing two materials together at room temperature. Imagine powering the lights of your house from a glass of milk, and you have the general idea. The claim was disputed, and the project is often showcased as an excellent example of "bad science".
Other ingenious machines are anti-gravity devices which could make cars run without fuel, and zero-point energy which assumes that even the vacuum state of the Universe has endless, accessible power.
The concept of cheap energy is not without merit, though. Take Solstice, for instance, who advocates the conversion to solar and wind energy. It is important to keep in mind that there is a huge difference between using natural forces which we know, and inventing machines which magically draws power from nowhere.
Hypography Sci-Tech is, of course, a scientific website and we do not in any way suggest that any of these theories are either right or wrong. We do, however, find lots of interesting theories and illustrations which make for good reading.
So be your own judge, and don't forget to take our poll.
