Posting guidelines
Anyone who wants to post anything at Hypography (articles, press releases, reviews, and links) must make sure that they either own the copyright for what they publish, or that they have obtained the right to publish content prior to publishing it.
If content has been previously published by yourself at another website or in another publication, please state so in the text of your content.
We do not accept content which fall into any of the categories below:
- Content which does not belong within the general realm of science and technology
- Content which contains derogatory language, racism, or sexism; or content which is aimed at harassing other members of Hypography
- Content which is commercial in nature, unless it is cleared by the editors
If you publish content which makes scientific claims, please provide proof and resources for further reading. Failure to do so may cause us to remove said content.
Please note that new members will meet stricter guidelines than established members. This is to make sure that our contributer base is reliable.
Copyright
You retain the copyright on anything you post, as long as you owned the copyright in the first place.
You are free to remove your own content from Hypography at any time, for any reason.
The term "Hypography" is a registered trademark with the USTPO in the United States of America, and Patentstyret in Norway, which both provide world-wide protection. Please do not use this term in any commercial ways without consulting the editor.
Membership rules
Membership is free of charge.
Members must accept the rules on this page.
Members must accept that they will receive newsletters and general information via e-mail from Hypography.
Members will not receive spam from us, nor will we sell our mailing lists to others.
Members must always make sure we have a correct e-mail address on file. If e-mail to a member bounces (ie, is returned to us), we will cancel the membership.
Members who forget their password, can retrieve it from our login page.
Commercial notes
We strive to keep all services at Hypography free of charge. However, we must cover our development and running costs. We do this by serving commercial ads on our website. If you choose to block these, then you are taking away our only source of income.
We may occasionally include commercial ads in our newsletters, although we have not done so as of yet, except for our own products (the products in our science store).
If you would like to sponsor Hypography, please either visit our science store, buy books we feature on our pages, or buy advertisement space - contact the editor for details at editor@hypography.com.
Membership cancellations
The editors may cancel your membership at any time if you break our rules.
Each member may cancel his or her membership by disabling their own account through their member pages. By doing this you will no longer be able to log in. All your content will remain at Hypography unless you have removed it, so make sure you remove it before you disable your account. Reactivation is possible, however, unless you have been banned (in which case we will consider deleting all your content).
